Ideas take shape long before objects do. Design Studies is where FOSSILGLOW observes natural forms, studies material behavior, and develops future design languages before they become collections or objects.

Every FOSSILGLOW collection begins here — as a Design Study. Before an object is cast, photographed, packaged, or placed in a home, it begins as a study: a form noticed in nature, a surface shaped by time, a material behavior worth testing. Design Studies is the studio's evolving library of those investigations.

It is not a shop. It is not a product category. It is the place where observations become design languages, and where future collections begin to take shape.

  • Marine Morphology

Published Study · Foundation of AquaLith Collection

Marine Morphology studies the forms of ancient seas: ammonite spirals, coral growth, shoreline erosion, mineral traces, and the quiet intelligence of ocean life. This study became the foundation of AquaLith, a collection where marine fossils and coastal textures are translated into objects for contemporary living.

  • Deep Time Forms

Study in Progress · Foundation of DinoVerse Collection

Deep Time Forms studies prehistoric life as a source of silhouette, balance, memory, and emotional scale. This study became the foundation of DinoVerse, a collection where ancient creatures are reimagined as quiet functional objects for modern spaces.

    • Fossil memory
    • Ancient life translated into everyday rituals
  • Taihu Stone Studies

    Study in Progress

A study of erosion, voids, scholar's rocks, and geological time made visible through negative space and surface texture.

  • Arborea

    Study in Progress

A study of fossilized plant structures, branching systems, bark, growth rings, and forest forms translated into object logic.

  • Egg Form Studies

    Study in Progress

A study of curved shells, ancient life, enclosed vessels, and structural forms that protect what is still becoming.

  • Azure Blossom

    Study in Progress

A study of seasonal color softness, floral atmosphere, ammonite chambers, and ornamental surface systems.

  • Lotus Bud Studies

    Study in Progress

A study of closed organic forms, petal geometry, stillness, and the potential energy held within protective natural structures.

  • Soft Matter

    Study in Progress

A study of softness translated into rigid materials: fur, tissue, fabric, moss, and tactile surfaces held in concrete or ceramic.

  • Zodiac Forms

    Study in Progress

A study of symbolic animal forms, movement, archetype, and cultural memory translated into contemporary objects.

These studies are part of FOSSILGLOW's long-term research archive and will be published as they mature.

Design is never finished. Some studies become collections. Others remain observations. Every study expands the language of FOSSILGLOW.

Every object begins as an observation. Every collection begins as a study.
